The Trouble With
Islam
Part MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMCLIX
Five or ten years ago, I investigated the process of
becoming a papist. Going Cath seemed like a good idea
at the time.
Turned out, der prozess took a whole two years.
I've put it off.
(It takes that long to get a driver's licence!)
I guess the Anglicans have a similar wait time. (Maybe only a year.)
To become a Jew, well, you know you can't just do that. I
suspect a convert to Judaism isn't an acceptable Jew until he's dead and can be
buried in a Jewish cemetery. His kids, however, may be full Jews.
To join the
But Islam? Let me show you. You count
as my witness. "There is no god but God, and Mohammed is his
prophet."
And Poof I'm a Moslem. Yep. That's all the converting it
takes.
Thus, there is no screening to authorize conversion.
There's no-one to say, "Learn the Catechism." No-one to say,
"Apply for your NDP card." You just say so, and you are.
That's the problem (delineated in this Part) right there.
To become a Catholic you have to be watched for two
years. Plenty of time for a faather to ask,
"Does he think he's Napoleon? If not, why the tricorn?"
This is what's called in Taylorist
terms quality control.
And Islam has no quality control. None.
(Shaitan tells me: For Islam,
craziness isn't a bug, it's a feature!)
**NEWSFLASH More information has now come in about Zehaf-Bibeau. He was a Muslim three years ago. Hardly a
"recent convert"! But I'm not stopping now because as Boon said he's
rolling.**
Where was I? Oh yes. A simple
hypothetical.
Let's say, oh, a noticeable number of the members of a
religious order start to, ah, start to diddle with kids. Someone notices
... then a lot of people notice. Folks in positions of authority in the religious
order say, hey, it's got nothing to do with the religious order. It's all
just chance!
How believable would that be?
Thus it can be argued that Islam has to somehow reform,
probably by catching up to the enlightenment. They could stop being The World's
Most Dangerous Religion.
They need to drop the violence, and they need to start
administering admittance testing.
It's a modest proposal.
And not let us proceed to trouble number
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMCLX.
